The Indian pharmaceutical giant launches a range of its personal health care products in Israel to further expand its reach abroad and encash on the growing ayurvedic market.
Indian pharmaceutical giant Himalaya Drug Company has launched a range of its personal health care products in Israel to further expand its reach abroad and encash on the growing ayurvedic market.
"It is a matter of pride to bring Ayurveda, which is 5,000 years old, contemporising it technologically. Synergy between Ayurveda and modern medicine is evolving and has already attracted the attention of people across the globe", Ravi Prasad, President and CEO of Himalaya Drug Company said.
Israel is the 65th country apart from India where Himalaya now has a presence, he said at a ceremony organised to mark the opening of its first showroom in Tel Aviv.
India's Ambassador to Israel, Arun Kumar Singh, said the launch of Himalaya's products is yet another addition to the recent trend where Indian companies have started to invest in Israel.
"Himalaya is bringing with it thousands of years of traditional wisdom and knowledge. It will add further to the strengthening ties between the two countries and boost bilateral trade", Singh said.
The company's products will be distributed in Israel by a local partner, Hollander Nussbaum Ltd, a textile agency which is quite active in India.
