India Inc is increasingly upbeat about hiring plans across almost all sectors in April-June period this year, led by an improving business outlook, a report by staffing firm TeamLease has said.
“Although global economic concerns persist, as far as the employment scenario in India is concerned, good times are back,” said Rajesh AR, vice-president, TeamLease Services.
According to the Employment Outlook Survey for April-June 2010, the net employment outlook for three months increased by 11 index points to 58 per cent as against 47 per cent in January-March.
The employment outlook is obtained after considering the hiring intent of senior executives and managers in several companies across sectors.
The employment outlook index is the difference between the numbers of companies that anticipate an increase in hiring need and those companies that expect a decline in hiring needs over the next three months, expressed as a percentage.
“The industry seems to have turned the corner and intends to hire aggressively. The recovery sentiment is smart and comprehensive; the jump in hiring sentiment will be witnessed across sectors,” Rajesh said.
The highest number of job options will be available at the middle level, the survey said.
