Market closes 457 points down

The 30-share benchmark of the BSE Sensex touched a low of 13,351.34 before closing at 13,469.85. It went down by 456.39 points or 3.28 per cent at day's close.

The 30-share benchmark of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex) opened at 14,032.06 points, touched a low of 13,351.34 before closing at 13,469.85 points. It went down by 456.39 points or 3.28 per cent at the day's close.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P Nifty, which opened at 13,469.85 points, closed at 4,049.00 points. It went down by 113.20 points or 2.72 per cent.
