Nestle Q2 net profit up 10% to Rs 271 crore

Consumer goods major Nestle India on Friday reported a 10.3% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 271 crore for the second quarter ended June 30 against Rs 246 crore a year ago on the back of robust sales growth across various business verticals.

Consumer goods major Nestle India on Friday reported a 10.3% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 271 crore for the second quarter ended June 30 against Rs 246 crore a year ago on the back of robust sales growth across various business verticals.

Net sales climbed 11.4% to Rs 2,213 crore during the quarter.

Domestic sales rose 9.2% on account of volume growth in certain product categories, while overseas sales grew 46.9% due to exports to affiliates.

"I am confident that the team is well aligned and capable of delivering growth consistent with the economic environment," Nestle India CMD A Helio Waszyk said.
