Pizza Hut introduces Halal meat in Lanka

Pizza Hut has received the Halal certification for all its outlets in the island country from All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama, the prominent Muslim body in the country.

Global pizza restaurant chain Pizza Hut will offer delectable and sizzling items made out of halal meat targetting the 1.8 million Muslim population in Sri Lanka.

Pizza Hut has received the Halal certification for all its outlets in the island country from All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama (ACJU), the prominent Muslim body in the country.



"Presently we are no longer serving pork related items or any non-Halaal products and we have shifted our toppings suppliers to Norfolk Foods Ltd which is an ACJU Hallal certified company," a spokesman of Pizza Hut said.



The Dallas based popular chain has over 16 outlets in Sri Lanka and is expanding.
