Sensex down 86 points in early trade

The BSE benchmark Sensex, which gained 73 points at the outset, fell back within minutes by 85.81 points to 14,201.40 in early trade.

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell by 86 points in early trade on Thursday as funds indulged in clearing their pending positions on the last day of expiry in derivative segment.

The 30-share index, Sensex, which gained 73 points at the outset, fell back within minutes by 85.81 points at 14,201.40.

Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty moved down by 14.50 points to 4,299.05.

Marketmen said that the sentiment turned volatile in early trading after market participants indulged in clearing their pending positions on the last day of futures.
