The new hotels, all under construction, are coming up at Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Dehradun. While the one at Dehradun, located on a hilltop is slated for opening in the third quarter of 2011, the other two hotels would become operational in early 2012.
“Construction is as per schedule. We will run these hotels through management contract though we have small equity,” Rattan Keshwani, president, Trident Hotels said in an interview with Hindustan Times.
Including the brand new Trident Bandra Kurla, Trident has nine hotels.
The Trident Bandra Kurla has been set up with an investment of more than Rs 700 crore and it took two years nine months to complete construction.
“We are very excited about this project and this will compete with all hotels in the suburbs. We aim to recover the investment in five to seven years if all goes well.” Keswani said.
Considering the location of the hotel, which is close to the diamond bourse and offices of several corporates and financial institutions, the new Trident has more provision for meetings and conferences.
