The Internet company is still to name Tadanki's successor.

"I truly enjoyed my stay at Yahoo. Having worked for 11 years in CEO roles for Asia Pacific and emerging markets at multinational Internet companies, I am looking forward to playing a very different role within the Internet ecosystem beyond our region," Tadanki said in a statement.

Tadanki joined Yahoo India as managing director in May 2009.
