Despite the price, the Tuono 457 continues to offer a strong value proposition in its segment because it is the only naked motorcycle to offer a parallel-twin engine in its price segment. The Tuono 457 shares its mechanical base with the RS 457, including the 457cc parallel twin engine that delivers 47.6 hp of max power and a peak torque output of 43.5 Nm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is quite punchy in the mid-range and has loads of low-end torque as well, making it suitable for both city riding and spirited highway runs.

In terms of equipment, the Tuono 457 remains well loaded. It features a full LED lighting setup, a colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity, traction control, multiple riding modes and dual channel ABS. The overall design also stands out, with its sharp styling, exposed frame and muscular stance giving it a distinct road presence.

Even with the revised pricing, the Tuono 457 is expected to attract riders looking for a premium naked motorcycle that blends performance with everyday usability. However, the hike does narrow the gap between it and some of its established rivals, which could influence buying decisions for price-sensitive customers. The closest rival that can be considered to the Aprilia Tuono 457 is the KTM 390 Duke, which is priced at 2.98 lakh ex-showroom. However, there is a huge difference between the two motorcycles, so they are not really direct rivals.
