MG Hector facelift to launch on December 15th
The MG Hector will receive a facelift with a redesigned front grille and minor bumper tweaks. Engine options will stay the same.
JSW MG Motor India has released a teaser of the Hector facelift on their social media pages. The brand has also confirmed that the Hector facelift will be launched on December 15th. This will be the third facelift that the SUV will receive since its launch, which happened back in 2019.
What will be the exterior changes to the MG Hector facelift?
Do not expect the Hector to go through a major redesign. The brand will be reworking the front grille to give the SUV a more premium and imposing look. From the teasers, it seems like the grille is inspired by a honeycomb design, and it will be finished in chrome. The MG logo will sit in the centre, but there could be some minor tweaks to the bumper. The split headlamp design will be carried over. So, the daytime running lamp will sit above the foglamps, and the headlamps will sit below in the bumper.

On the sides, we can expect a new set of alloy wheels with a machined finish, the thick plastic cladding and the roof rails would still be there. At the rear, there could be minor changes to the bumper and few changes to the lighting elements. The light bar would be carried forward from the current model.

What will be the interior changes to the MG Hector facelift?
The cabin is expected to stay the same for the Hector facelift. However, JSW MG Motor India could give some new upholstery and colours to the dashboard and seats. Also, we hope that the brand makes improvements to the infotainment system, as it can get laggy.
Other features such as digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, powered driver seat and panoramic sunroof would be there.
What will be the engine options of the MG Hector facelift?
The company will not be making any changes to the engine options of the Hector facelift. It would continue to come with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 168 bhp and 350 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. There is also a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 141 bhp of max power and 250 Nm. Gearbox options on offer will be a CVT automatic unit and a 6-speed manual unit.
