The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Ram Avtar, 46, hailing from Uttar Pradesh.

UT police had booked Avtar under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on August 19, 2013, after 200 grams of smack was recovered from him. He was arrested from a naka on the dividing road of Sector 22 and 23, Chandigarh.
