Cleanliness audit: Ludhiana railway station ranks 308 among 611 of country

Improving its rank in the cleanliness audit, the Ludhiana railway station has stood at the 308th rank among 611 non-sub-urban stations of the country.

In the ‘Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat 2019’ survey, released on Wednesday evening by the ministry of railways, the district has scored 730.3 of total 1,000.

Last year, the Ludhiana railway station was among 20 stations of A1 category stations, and in 2017, it was at the 375th rank of total 407 stations of the country. The station had then scored 563 points out of 1,000.

In Punjab, the Ludhiana railway station is in the eight cleanliness stations of total 14 stations.

Station director Tarun Kumar said this year, the Ludhiana railway station has shown improvement in the cleanliness assessment. The survey was conducted in three sections ––process audit report, direct observation and citizen feedback. All sections carried total 333.33 marks. In the survey, Ludhiana railway station has scored 229.83 in the process audit report, 128.03 in direct observation and 260.5 in citizen feedback.
