Direct bus service to Nanakmatta Sahib from Ludhiana

Will ply from Ludhiana bus stand daily at 4pm and reach Nanakmatta Sahib in Uttarakhand the next day at 7:20am

A direct bus service from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) here to Nanakmatta Sahib, Uttarakhand, has been started on the eve of the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev.

The first bus service to Nanakmatta Sahib commenced on Monday. While no inaugural function was held here, devotees at Nanakmatta performed the inaugural ceremony with an ‘ardaas’ (prayer) and flagged off the first Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus to Ludhiana.

The bus will ply from Ludhiana bus stand to Nanakmatta every ay at 4 pm. It will reach Nanakmatta Sahib the next day at 7:20 am. Another bus will ply from Nanakmatta Sahib to Ludhiana everyday at 6:15 pm.

Before this, there was no direct bus service to Nanakmatta Sahib from Ludhiana. The Jalandhar bus stand was the only station in the state running a direct bus service to Nanakmatta.

The PRTC is also in the process of starting two direct buses from Ludhiana city to Dehradun, a popular hill station in Uttarakhand, and Baru Sahib in Himachal Pradesh.
