Eve-teasers attack college student
Three car-borne youngsters attacked a BA final-year student of Government College, Sector 42, with a blunt weapon on Wednesday. Police said the victim, Komal, a resident of Nayagaon, was waiting for a bus near the college at around 4 pm when three boys in a Swift car came there and passed comments on her.

Police said the victim, Komal, a resident of Nayagaon, was waiting for a bus near the college at around 4 pm when three boys in a Swift car came there and passed comments on her.
Police sources said the girl retaliated and shouted back at them. The boys, who were moving around the college, stopped the car and got down. They allegedly took out a blunt weapon and hit the girl on her head, leaving her injured.
The passers-by rushed her to the general hospital in Sector 16. The girl got five stitches in her head. Police later managed to catch hold of two boys while the third one is at large. The arrested have been identified as Lakhbir Singh of Sector 21 and Kushwinder Singh of Sector 20, police said. Both are pursuing an IELTS course. Police said efforts were on to nab the third suspect. A case has been registered.
