Financial help of Rs 76.22 lakh to cancer patients in Rupnagar

Deputy commissioner Tanu Kashyap on Saturday said that the Punjab government had provided financial help of Rs 76.22 lakh to 75 cancer patients of the Rupnagar district from in 2014 under the Chief Minister's Cancer Relief Fund.

Deputy commissioner Tanu Kashyap on Saturday said that the Punjab government had provided financial help of Rs 76.22 lakh to 75 cancer patients of the Rupnagar district from in 2014 under the Chief Minister's Cancer Relief Fund.

Disclosing this, the deputy commissioner said that in January this year, Rs 9 lakh were given to six cancer patients. Rupnagar civil surgeon Surinder Gangarh said all patients suffering from cancer could avail benefits under the scheme.
