Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will lead a high-level delegation to the United States and Canada which will take off on August 16.
The delegation, which will include a 19-member team of leading business houses from Haryana, will spend ten days in North America.
Industries and commerce minister Cap. Abhimanyu, principal secretary to Chief Minister Sanjeev Kaushal, principal secretary (industries) Devender Singh, managing director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Vineet Garg, director general, information and public relations, Abhilaksh Likhi, and OSD to Chief Minister Mukul Kumar would also be part of the delegation.
An official spokesperson said that during its visit from August 16 to August 24, the delegation would visit New York, Washington, San Francisco in United States and Vancouver and Toronto in Canada. It would hold deliberations with leading US and Canadian industrialists and non-resident Indians (NRIs).
The objective would be to attract investment for Haryana in areas of food processing, information technology (IT), IT-enabled services, solar energy and renewable energy, mass rapid transport, skill development, defence production, electronics manufacturing, garments, auto industry, industrial parks and medical tourism.
The delegation would also hold meetings with the United States Indian Business Council (USIBC) and Canada India Business Council (CIBC).
