Brar said it is a bigger insult to the people of Haryana as the Arya Samaj movement of which Sardar Ajit Singh, uncle of Bhagat Singh, was the leading light, got an overwhelming support from the present Haryana, where the Arya Samaj flourished.

Brar said if the cellular jail in the Andamans could be named after Vir Savarkar, why an airport in Punjab could not be named after the heroes of the freedom struggle.
