Kirron Kher opens Joggers Park in Sector 15
Local member of Parliament (MP) Kirron Kher on Tuesday inaugurated the newly-constructed Joggers Park that stretches from Sector 15-16 traffic light point up till Sectors 10-11-15-16 roundabout. The park has been built with a budget of Rs 35 lakh.

In her speech, Kher said, "Generally, in UT, the government projects start off but do not see the light of the day. However, this time the case has been different. Already an example in terms of cleanliness, the city needs to keep on growing like this, and soon we will be an example for the whole world."
Area councillor Saurabh Joshi said, "Built on 3 acres, the park has a special layered track, generally proposed for athletics. The similar tracks were used until the 1964 Tokyo Olympics."
Others present on the occasion included Chandigarh BJP chief Sanjay Tandon, BJP councillors, chief engineer Mukesh Anand and joint commissioner Rajeev Gupta.
