Look into complaint against GNDU V-C: HC

A division bench of the Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday directed the chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, to look into a complaint filed by a retired associate professor against the university vice-chancellor.

A division bench of the Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday directed the chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, to look into a complaint filed by a retired associate professor against the university vice-chancellor.

A division bench comprising justices SK Mittal and HS Sidhu on Friday passed the order on a petition seeking directions to the university chancellor to remove vice-chancellor Dr AS Brar from his post for alleged irregularities in the recruitments of assistant professors, associate professors and principals.

The petitioner had also alleged favouritism in the constitution of a society to train the students belonging to rural areas for entrance test.
