Man found hanging from tree in Sector 17

In a shocking incident, a person was found hanging from a tree in the parking near old district court complex 20 metre away from the Sector 17 police station on Monday morning. The police said the deceased, who is yet to be identified, appeared to be around 35-year-old.

The police said the deceased, who is yet to be identified, appeared to be around 35-year-old. The police said the victim had torn his T-shirt in two pieces and hanged himself with it.

The police said the incident came to fore at about 8am, when a passerby noticed the body and informed the police. The deceased was then rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where he was declared brought dead.

The police said preliminary investigations indicated that the person committed suicide. “Meanwhile, the investigations into the case were on, the police said. No external injury marks were found on the body, which has been sent for postmortem. Even no suicide note was recovered from the spot,” the police said.
