Man held guilty for rape attempt
A local court held a man guilty of attempt to rape on Friday. Hemant, 22, was in a relationship with the victim, who is a minor. Both eloped in June 2012. After two days, both were caught while fleeing on a motorcycle.

A local court held a man guilty of attempt to rape on Friday.
Hemant, 22, was in a relationship with the victim, who is a minor. Both eloped in June 2012. After two days, both were caught while fleeing on a motorcycle.
As the girl was minor, the police lodged a rape case. During the trial, school certificate was produced to show the victim as minor. After arguments, the court of additional district and sessions judge Gurvinder Kaur convicted Hemant for attempt to rape.
The girl stated in her statement that she was in love with the man and wanted to marry him as well. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced on Monday.
Hemant is already serving a life term for murder in Himachal Pradesh.
