Mehendi gets bolder, climbs high

It’s not just about the hands and feet anymore. The new-age mehendi is stylishly working its way up to the arms, collar bones, and nape of brides-to-be. “With modern brides wearing outfits that show off their arms, shoulders and upper back, the focus of mehendi has shifted to these areas. They are also opting for stick-on mehendi which is far less messy and saves time,” says mehendi expert Kanchan Mehra.

Local girls are also colour matching mehendi with bridal attire.

“Brides are matching the shade of henna with their outfit and using swarovski studs to add to their D-day look,” says Aashmeen Munjal, makeup expert.
