Milkha alleges fake website in his name

The growing cyber crime has Padma Shree and renowned athlete Milkha Singh as its victim. He approached the UT police alleging that some unidentified people have made a fake website in his name.

The growing cyber crime has Padma Shree and renowned athlete Milkha Singh as its victim. He approached the UT police alleging that some unidentified people have made a fake website in his name.

In a complaint to the police filed through advocate Terminder Singh, Milkha alleged that a few unidentified persons have created fake website milkhasingh.co.in, a Facebook account in his name without his knowledge or consent.

Milkha has sought registration of case under the Information and Technology Act and under various sections of cheating and forgery against unidentified persons who have even managed to get advertisements.

"In order to cash-in on the popularity of Milkha, the accused by creating a fake website are trying to befool people and achieve financial gains for themselves," the advocate said.
