Haryana chief minister ML Khattar on Monday said a new law would soon be enacted to check cow slaughter in the state and efforts would be made to present a bill in this regard in the next session of the Haryana vidhan sabha.

Khattar, who was interacting with reporters at Yamunanagar Sunday evening, said the construction of a ring road between Yamunagar and Jagadhari to ease traffic would be started soon.

When asked about giving pay scale to government employees on par with that of Punjab, Khattar said the previous Congress government had dug many pits that needed to be filled and the priority of the government was to improve the fiscal state of Haryana.
