Online facility for shooting films launched

An online facility for film shooting was launched by UT home secretary Anil Kumar in the presence of director tourism Tanvi Garg and other dignitaries of the hospitality and tourism industry at the inaugural session of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tourism Festival here on Thursday.

The department aims to showcase Chandigarh as a big destination for film shooting with its newly launched facility which will facilitate film and TV-serial makers to shoot for their films in and around Chandigarh with convenience by booking from their own places.

Chandigarh administration manages Bollywood facilitation cell to provide a single window system for grant of all permissions as required for film shooting at beautiful locations in the city. The administration also provides security and other logistic support to the film crew coming from across the country or even international borders.

Online booking facility will facilitate the film makers to make their own itinerary for film shooting as per their choice and avoiding inconvenience to come to Chandigarh for prior permissions for bookings. The facility has been linked with the Chandigarh Tourism website for easier facilitation.
