Over 80 models showcased on Day 1 of science exhibition
An inter-district two-day science exhibition, aided by the state government, kicked off at Government Post Graduate College, Sector 1, on Thursday. On the first day, more than 80 models were exhibited by students from departments, including physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, psychology, geography and computer science, exhibited their projects.

All government colleges of Panchkula and Ambala districts participated in the event. Scientific projects on volcano eruption, water saver projects, hydro energy, eco-system and robotic energy were displayed.
Usha Malik, joint director, higher education, Haryana, was the chief guest, while SP Singh, principal, Government Post Graduate College, Sector 1, presided over the function.
Malik said such exhibitions encouraged students to do better in their own field.
