Pb: Bains joins as infra regulatory body chairman

Former Punjab home secretary DS Bains has joined as the chairman of the Punjab Infrastructure Regulatory Authority (PIRA), succeeding Tejinder Kaur. Bains had retired on February 2 this year.

Former Punjab home secretary DS Bains has joined as the chairman of the Punjab Infrastructure Regulatory Authority (PIRA), succeeding Tejinder Kaur. Bains had retired on February 2 this year. He will remain the PIRA chairman for a five-year term to hear cases related to private participation in state-owned infrastructure projects under the Punjab Infrastructure (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002.
