Prez to honour freedom fighter from Kaithal

Bakhtawar Singh, a freedom fighter from Kutubpur village of Kaithal district in Haryana will be honoured by President Pranab Mukherjee in a function at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on the 60th anniversary of Quit India Movement that falls on Thursday.

A spokesperson said the 90-year-old freedom fighter, was a close associate of Subhash Chander Bose and was with him in the Azad Hind Fauj. He also went to jail in 1941 and 1943 at Kolkata and Hong Kong.
