Proposed hike in fuel, LPG price to hit common man: Badal

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday slammed the Centre for the proposed hike in petrol prices, diesel and LPG, saying it is "totally unjustified" and "anti-people."

The Shiromani Akali Dal patron said the prices of the essential commodities were already sky high and a further hike would fuel inflation.

Badal cautioned the Centre against taking such "anti-people" decisions when the common man was already reeling under the unbearable burden of inflation.
