Gurinderpal Singh Bath, secretary, PSEB, said the basics would be out on June 2, while the detailed results, merit list and pass percentage of schools as well private candidates would be on the board’s website — www.pseb.ac.in — on June 3 from 10am.

The board is also providing the detailed result on e-mail, for which a student has to register on the website.

This year, the board has decided to give away cash awards to toppers — those securing first, second and third positions would get Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.

Last year, the Punjab government had launched Dr Hargobind Khorana Post-Matriculation Scholarship Scheme, ensuring scholarships to all poor meritorious students in government schools across the state. Under this scheme, students getting 80% and above marks in their matriculation exam got Rs 30,000 for Class 11 and Rs 30,000 for Class 12.

As many as 3,300 meritorious students of government schools were honoured last year for scoring 80% and above marks in Class 10 board examinations.
