Punjab: CPS again appears before ED

Chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) and Phillaur MLA Avinash Chandar on Thursday again appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and submitted documents regarding his assets, bank accounts and business investments.

Chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) and Phillaur MLA Avinash Chandar on Thursday again appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and submitted documents regarding his assets, bank accounts and business investments.

Avinash, who reached the ED office in the evening stayed there for half an hour.

Sources said the ED had told the CPS on Wednesday to submit the entire documents relating to his financial deals and transactions with banks, after investigating a Phillaur-based local businessman and his key aide Chatinder Goyal famously known as Seeta Arhitya.

Sources said the ED had also summoned Congress MP from Jalandhar Chaudhary Santokh Singh on October 17.
