Punjab EC directs to implement poll code strictly
Punjab State Election Commission asked the state government to follow the model code of conduct, which come into force on Friday due to polls to 145 panchayat samitis and 22 zila parishad strictly.

Punjab State Election Commission asked the state government to follow the model code of conduct, which come into force on Friday due to polls to 145 panchayat samitis and 22 zila parishad strictly.
The Election Commission on Friday issued the notification for the election of 145 Panchayat Smitis and 22 Zila Parishads in the state, an official spokesman said here.
He added that state commission has also written to the chief secretary for ensuring the compliance of conduct.
