Two BSF personnel washed away near LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir
A BSF official and sepoy were washed away in floods near LoC in Seeri area of Rajouri district, about 100-km north-west of Jammu. Deputy Commandant Tarun Gupta r/o Rajasthan along with his driver sepoy Udhay Singh were patrolling the area near the LoC.

According to reports, Army is trying to contact Pakistan Army across the border in seeking their help in retrieving the bodies.
Deputy Commandant Tarun Gupta (BSF Intelligence Cell) r/o Rajasthan along with his driver sepoy Udhay Singh were patrolling the area near the LoC.
The vehicle got washed away with sudden surge of water in Seeri nullah at about 3am.
On receiving the information BSF and Army personnel started the rescue operation. The vehicle stuck in nullah was retrieved about 500 metres from LoC however the bodies couldn't be found.
About 500 BSF and Army personnel were still carrying out the rescue operation at the time of filing the report.
BSF has sought Army's assistance in contacting its counter part across the border to retrieve the bodies, if they have crossed the border as Seeri nullah flows down to Pok.
