Two held for taking bribe

The Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Sushil Kumar Malik, driving training instructor, Haryana Roadways, Karnal, while taking bribe of Rs 8,000 from one Parveen Kumar, a resident of Karnal, in lieu of making him qualify the training test.

An official spokesperson said a case had been registered against him under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation was on.

In another case, Mahinder Singh, store munshi, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Titram village of Kaithal, was caught while taking bribe of Rs 1,000 from one Ram Niwas, a resident of Kaithal, in lieu of issuing transformer in replacement.
