Youth acquitted has been identified as Puneet, who was booked on February 7, 2014, on the complaint of the victim's father.

The prosecution had alleged that the accused took the victim to Ambala on a motorcycle from where they were taken to New Delhi and then Noida. The victim had alleged that during their stay in Noida, the accused assaulted and raped her.

Puneet was acquitted after the defense counsel proved that the victim had gone out of her own will and that physical intimacy was consensual.
