Zira to start fast unto death opposite CM’s house from Monday

Punjab Congress leader Inderjit Singh Zira . Zira has announced that he would lead a group of 11 protesters to begin a ‘fast unto death’, from Monday, opposite Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence, protesting the government’s failure to pay the state’s farmers for the paddy procured this season.

Zira has announced that he would lead a group of 11 protesters to begin a ‘fast unto death’, from Monday, opposite Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence, protesting the government’s failure to pay the state’s farmers for the paddy procured this season.

“More than Rs 3,500 crore has not been paid to farmers. The Badals are busy organizing kabaddi matches, while farmers fail to make ends meet.”
