Karnataka capital Bengaluru is likely to face power outages in several areas today and tomorrow, i.e., Tuesday and Wednesday as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company's (BESCOM) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) are undertaking many maintenance-related projects.

These works include reconductoring, line linking, underground cable damage rectification, jungle cutting, quarterly maintenance, stringing works and bus strengthening, among others. Most power cuts across the city are expected to last six to seven hours.
