The Karnataka Police arrested a man on Saturday for allegedly molesting school girls in Karnataka’s Sakkarayapattana. The accused is said to be a school bus driver and he allegedly committed the offence while dropping the students at home or at the school.

The driver is booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after he admitted to the offence of molesting schoolgirls, police said.
According to the news agency ANI, the accused Rajappa is a 50-year-old man and he allegedly touched girls inappropriately by showing his private parts. An FIR (First Information Report) was lodged and currently, the investigation is going on. Police said the accused confessed to his crime. Multiple cases under section 354A(1)(iv) of IPC and sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act have been filed against the accused.
According to the police, the villagers caught and tied him to a temple pillar, before bringing him to the police station on Thursday. The video of villagers beating the accused went viral on social media.
