Balbir Sidhu meets local government director, discusses extension of Mohali MC limits

Mohali MC has begun preparations for the next phase of the extension of the boundaries; a delegation ed by Balbir Sidhu met the local government director Puneet Goyal on Thursday

The municipal corporation(MC), Mohali, has begun preparations for the next phase of the extension of the boundaries of the MC. A team consisting mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, deputy mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, commissioner Kamal Garg and other officials led by former health minister Balbir Singh Sidhu met the director, local government, Puneet Goyal, on Thursday.

In this meeting, mainly issues related to the extension of boundaries of Mohali and other issues related to the MC were discussed.

As per information, Sidhu asked the director, local government, to complete the demarcation proceedings of Mohali as soon as possible. Simultaneously the former health minister talked to Goyal regarding taking over the work of the public health department under the Mohali MC and asked him to expedite the process.

Sidhu told Goyal that the rest of the process had been completed and sent to the Local Government Department. Also, the record of the revenue department and maps finalised accordingly has been handed over to the local bodies department. He said now the department had to finalise this extended demarcation.
