Chandigarh: Seasoned golfer Kang crowned overall winner at Captain’s Day tournament
Playing in handicap category during the 19-24 event, Rajiv Kaila won with a score of 32 while SS Sodhi finished as runner-up with a score of 25. With a score of 71 points, seasoned golfer HS Kang emerged as the overall all gross winner while Karanveer Singha (74 points) finished runner-up during the Captain’s Day Tournament organised by the Chandigarh Golf Club on Sunday.
Playing in the handicap category during the 19-24 event, Rajiv Kaila won with a score of 32 while SS Sodhi finished as runner-up with a score of 25. In the handicap 15-18 event, Gurpratap Singh was crowned as winner with a score of 36 while Brig HS Bath was the runner-up. In the 10-14 event, Dilmick Lamba was the winner with a score of 44 while Harmohan S Sabharwal was the runner-up with a score of 40. In the handicap 6-9 event, Amit Pal Chahal was the champion with a score of 38 while Rakesh Jolly was the runner-up with a score of 37. In the handicap 0-5 event, Ransher Randhawa was the champion with a score of 38 points while MP Singh came second with a score of 36 points.
In the ladies’ category during the handicap 19 and above, Bindu Singh was the winner with a score of 32 while Vijay Wadhawan with a side of 31 was the runner-up. In the handicap 10-18 event, Manpreet Sandhu was the champion with a score of 34 points while Jyoti Gosal was the runner-up with a score of 30 points. In the 0-9 event, Suneli Aggarwal was named as the winner with a score of 30 points and Nadr Kaur Gill was second with 22 points under her belt.
Meanwhile, Rabia Gill emerged as the ladies overall gross winner with a score of 80 points while Guddi Malhi came second with a score of 86 points.
During the age category in the 71-75 event, Pankaj Krishan was named as the winner with a score of 78 points while DS Malhotra came second with 81 points. In the 66-70 event, Col SDS Batth was the champion with a score of 76 points, while Gen JS Dhaliwal was the runner-up with a score of 76 points. In the 60-65 event, Gurpreet Singh was the champion with a score of 80 points while JS Bakshi came second. In the above 75 years (9-hole) event, GS Mangat was the winner with 22 points while Dr Jagmohan came second with 20 points.
