Chandigarh club owner, bouncers held for assault outside Sector 26
According to the police, Gaurav and his friend Saurav were allegedly attacked and beaten near the club around 12.30 am on August 10, both sustained injuries and were admitted to GMSH-16
Four persons have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault of two youths outside Deflo Club in Sector 26 on August 10, Chandigarh Police said.
The case was registered at the Sector 26 police station on the complaint of Gaurav Kumar, a resident of village Kohara in Ludhiana district. An FIR has been registered under Sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to the police, Gaurav and his friend Saurav were allegedly attacked and beaten near the club around 12.30 am on August 10. Both sustained injuries and were admitted to Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, for treatment.
During the investigation, police arrested Deflo club owner Pranav, a resident of Sector 22-C, Chandigarh, and Vijay Joshi, a resident of Bank Colony, Mani Majra and bouncers, Gurwinder Singh, alias Guri, a resident of village Janda Bagga, Zira, Ferozepur and Jobanpreet Singh of village Chugawan, Amritsar.
The complainant alleged that the accused surrounded and assaulted him and his friend outside the club. He also alleged that he was subsequently threatened with being killed and shot if he met the accused again.
Gaurav further told the police that after reaching GMSH-16, he and Saurav learnt that club bouncers were allegedly looking for them in the club parking area and nearby locations to assault them again. The two left the hospital after receiving treatment.
The complainant also reported that his gold chain went missing during the altercation.
The case is being investigated further, and police are examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the subsequent threats.
