After recording a 33% spike in its daily Covid-19 cases on Friday, tricity logged a 36% decline on Saturday with 23 fresh infections.

The cases dropped from 17 to 11 in Mohali over the past 24 hours and 10 to two in Panchkula, but rose from nine to 10 in Chandigarh.
On Friday, tricity had recorded 36 cases after 27 the day before.
Meanwhile, no Covid-related death was reported in the tricity for the third consecutive day.
While the tricity had reported 3,167 infections in the first five days of February amid the third wave, the figure has dropped to 144 in the same period this month. Similarly, the number of deaths is down from 28 to one – reported by Mohali on March 2.
Tricity’s active cases are also down to 176. Among these, Chandigarh still has 83 positive patients, Mohali 64 and Panchkula 29.
