Punjab on Monday registered 48 fresh cases of Covid-19, an uptick from the previous day’s 40, though no death due to the virus was reported.

Among Punjab districts, Jalandhar registered nine Covid cases, followed by six in Patiala and five in Fazilka.

According to state media bulletin, the state’s positivity rate stood at 0.37%. Among districts, Jalandhar registered nine cases, followed by six in Patiala and five in Fazilka.

With 38 persons recovering from the virus, the number of cured persons in the state has reached 7,40,760. Till now, 17,724 persons have lost their lives due to the virus.

As many as 7,58,649 persons have been found positive in the state so far, while the active caseload came down to 265 on Monday. Also, 34,720 doses of the vaccine were administered on the day.
