Former Aam Aadmi Party Jalandhar North halqa in-charge Dinesh Dhall, who was recently removed from the post, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.

Dhall, who unsuccessfully contested the 2022 assembly elections from Jalandhar North on an AAP ticket, was removed from the post of halqa in-charge after the party appointed mayor Vaneet Dhir as a new constituency in-charge. Dhall was reportedly unhappy with the AAP leadership since the change.
