Ludhiana: 5 mobile phones recovered after arrest of two snatchers
Assistant commissioner of police (ACP, East) Gurdev Singh said that following a tip-off, the duo was nabbed from Khawajke village. Based on the disclosures they made during questioning, police recovered five stolen mobile phones, two e-rickshaws, a motorcycle, besides a sharp-edged weapon from their possession.
The Meharban police busted a gang of snatchers with the arrest of two members from Kakka Road in Khawajke village on Tuesday.
Police recovered a sharp-edged weapon, five mobile phones and stolen vehicles from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Anish Kumar of Bajra Colony and Paramjit Singh alias Mota of Model Colony of Jagirpur Road.

The ACP said the accused are involved in snatchings and used to target labourers returning from work in the evening.
A case under Sections 379 (theft), 379B (snatching) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused at Meharban police station.
The accused were produced before the court on Wednesday and sent to two-day police custody.
