MLA directs officials to clamp down on illegal mining in Panchkula dist

Residents of Haripur village told Gupta that illegal mining is carried out from late at night till early in the morning at Haripur, Khedi, Khatauli and Rihod villages. Gupta directed officials to conduct regular raids, seize vehicles and register FIRs against those involved in illegal mining in the district
Residents of Jalauli village complained to Gupta that the work on construction of a boundary wall at the community centre in the village and laying of tiles is pending. Gupta directed officials over the phone to get the work completed on priority and submit a report to him within seven days. He also directed the officials of the urban local bodies department to remove high tension wires from Khatauli village.
Other issues taken up included installation of new pipeline after tubewell connection in Behad village, construction of ITI in Kanauli village, installation of a tubewell in Jalauli village and parking arrangement in Sector 9 market.
