Raghav Bhandari presented with Independence Day Cup winners’ trophy
Chandigarh Golf Club president Ravibir Singh presented the trophy to Bhandari in the presence of club vice-president Dr GS Kochhar and captain of the course, Arvind Bajaj.
Raghav Bhandari was presented with the Independence Day Cup winners’ trophy at Chandigarh Golf Club on the occasion of Captain’s Day on Sunday. The Independence Cup was held in August.

Captain’s Day golf tournament concludes
Meanwhile, the two-day Captain’s Day golf tournament concluded on Sunday. Saurabh Mangat, with a score of 72, emerged the gross winner while HS Kang with a score of 74 finished gross runner-up. In the above 75 age category (9 holes), Maj DPS Sandhu was the winner with 18 points while Maj Gen Manmohan Singh with a score of 17 was runner-up.
Playing in the 71 to 75 age category, Col BS Rangi, with a score of 82, emerged the best gross winner while the best gross runner-up was TK Ghai with a score of 84.
In the 66 to 70 age category, Col PJS Atwal was the best gross winner with a score of 81 while SK Sharma finished best gross runner-up with a score of 81. Rakesh Jolly scored 75 to emerge as best gross winner in the 60 to 65 age category, pushing Col Ajaytaj Singh to the second spot. Neelam Garg, with 44 points, emerged winner in differently abled (19-24) category while Neelam Gill came second with 32 points. In the differently abled (15-18) category, Jyoti Gosal emerged the champion with 36 points while Ikram Sandhu came second with 35 points.
