As many as nine animals, including eight goats and a pitbull dog, were charred to death after a fire broke out at a dairy owner’s animal shed in Manimajra’s Shastri Nagar in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Shed owner Balwinder Kaur said she left home around 1 am and later got calls from locals regarding a fire at the animal shed. She alleged that a local youth who held a grudge against her was behind the arson, adding that she incurred a loss of around ₹4 lakh.
