Two die as car plunges into gorge in Shimla’s Karsog
They were travelling in a Maruti Alto car (HP-30-4383), which fell into a 500-metre-deep gorge on the Shana-Lachhadhar link road in Karsog subdivision of Himachal’s Mandi
Two persons were killed while one sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in plunged into a gorge near Pangna of Karsog subdivision in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, police said on Thursday.

According to information, the trio was travelling in a Maruti Alto car (HP-30-4383), which fell into a 500-metre-deep gorge on the Shana-Lachhadhar link road late on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sant Ram, 38, of Chanhala village and Jayanti, 40, of Shana village.
Injured Nand Lal of Karshal village was has been shifted to Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, where he is undergoing treatment.
Soon after receiving information, a police team was rushed to the spot, said Karsog deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Geetanjali.
“Two people succumbed to the injuries on their way to the hospital,” she said, adding that a case of rash and negligent driving and causing death by negligence has been registered.
Further investigation is currently underway, the DSP said.
Road crash in Nadaun leaves one dead
One person was killed and two others injured in a road accident near Nadaun town, Hamirpur police said Thursday.
The accident took place on Wednesday night when a scooter collided with a truck. While scooter driver Ajay Kumar was brought dead to a hospital, the injured were referred to the Tanda medical college and hospital in Kangra.
Nadaun station house officer Yog Raj said that a case has been registered against the truck driver.
