Two held after shootout in Haryana’s Narnaul
The accused Shiv Dayal, who is facing 27 criminal cases, was planning to flee by train when he was surrounded by the CIA team at Narnaul railway station.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Mahendergarh police on Saturday arrested a history-sheeter and his aide from Narnaul railway station after a brief exchange of fire.
The accused Shiv Dayal, who is facing 27 criminal cases, was planning to flee by train when he was surrounded by the CIA team at Narnaul railway station.
Narnaul CIA in-charge Sandeep said that they received a tip-off about the movement of history-sheeter Shiv Dayal, who was planning to flee in a train.
“Recently, he opened fire at a man and he was wanted in the case. After seeing the police team, he got off the train and started running. He opened fire at us which hit my bullet-proof jacket. In retaliation, he sustained an injury in leg. He is undergoing treatment in Civil Hospital,” the CIA in-charge added.
The CIA in-charge said that they also nabbed Dayal’s aide Ranjit, a resident of Alwar in Rajasthan. The police have recovered a pistol, country made weapon and four live cartridges from both accused.
